BookBonds
BookBonds offers interactive sessions for parents and children where they can read, sing and play together. Each class focuses on a different literacy based theme. The session begins with a book that is read aloud by the instructor and ends with an opportunity for parents to read to their child. Gymboree
Gymboree offers several different types of classes for children while their parents have an opportunity to talk with others who are going through similar experiences and challenges surrounding parenting. Classes include play and learn for children up to age 5, music for children between the ages of 6 months to 5 years, art for children between 18 months to 5 years, sports and a class on school skills for those between 3-5 years. For children who are between the ages of 4 months to 9 years. Glen Echo Park
Glen Echo Park is a great place for kids. An antique Dentzel carousel (dating back to 1921) is open May through September. Enjoy a puppet show at the Puppet Co. or a children’s theatrical performance at Adventure Theatre. At Discovery Creek Children’s Museum, explore nature, history, and the arts through innovative educational programs and exhibits.
